My name is Rox, and I am a freelance copywriter and creative consultant based in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa.
I started out in the scary, chaotic world of public relations, where I quickly realised that I loved writing more than I liked dealing with media.
After starting a (now defunct) personal blog in 2005, I soon fell in love with the infinite possibles of online writing, and to this day, digital content remains my first love. I still write press releases, and I do copy for print projects, too.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked in agency, in-house and freelance capacities, across a huge diversity of industries from gaming to travel to corporate and more. What all of that experience has taught me that, at the end of the day, all we need is good content (and chocolate, that’s important, too).
In addition to copy projects, I also offer content strategy and create consulting for clients wanting to fine-tune the content process. For those wanting to make the leap from blogger to copywriter, I provide guidance to budding freelancers as well.
Off-Duty Zen Seeker
Outside of work, my passions and interests (in no particular order) include yoga, art, nature, birds, mindfulness, chocolate, tea, cats, otters, friends, family, books, jazz, blues, crossword puzzles, cop shows, art house horror movies and bad jokes.
